AAP leader Sanjay Singh comes out of Tihar jail

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh On Wednesday evening, he came out of Delhi’s Tihar Jail after about six months. Singh was arrested in the alleged Delhi Excise Policy ‘scam’ case.

As soon as Sanjay Singh came out of Tihar jail and said that this is not the time to celebrate but to struggle, a large number of party workers gathered to welcome him.

After his release from Tihar Jail, Sanjay Singh said, “This is the time of struggle. Our jailed leaders will also come out soon.”

Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bail to Sanjay Singh in money laundering case Delhi Excise Policy Case,

The Enforcement Directorate had earlier told the Supreme Court that it had no objection if Sanjay Singh was granted bail in the case. The Supreme Court was hearing Sanjay Singh’s petition challenging his arrest and remand in a money laundering case.

Sanjay Singh was lodged in a high security jail in the national capital since October 13, 2023. According to PTI report, he came out from gate number three.

Jail officials said that he was released after the bail process was completed.

A large number of AAP supporters gathered outside the jail and raised slogans like “Look who has come, Sher has come, Sher has come” and “Sanjay Singh Zindabad”.

The Rajya Sabha member was garlanded amid sloganeering by AAP workers.

According to PTI, Delhi Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj and AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak were also present outside the jail to welcome Sanjay Singh.

There was heavy security presence outside the jail in view of his release. Singh climbed on top of his vehicle and there was a rush among the supporters to welcome him.

“This is the time of struggle. Long live Arvind Kejriwal. Our jailed leaders will also come out soon. This is not the time to celebrate but to struggle. The locks of the jail will be broken, all our leaders will be released.” Come out),” he said according to PTI.

After his release, Sanjay Singh left for Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence to meet his wife Sunita.
