Air support dropped on Gaza; Palestinians rush to the beach in hope
Planes delivered humanitarian aid to the beleaguered Gaza Strip on 26 February, targeting the cities of Deir al-Balah and Rafah.
Witnesses reported that no aid was delivered to northern Gaza, where the blockade has severely restricted supplies.
The Israeli blockade, initiated after a Hamas attack on 7 October, has led to mass starvation, killing approximately 29,800 Palestinians and injuring more than 70,000 since the beginning of the conflict. The UN reports that 85% of Gaza’s population is now internally displaced, suffering acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine.
