At least 1 dead, 6 injured when police vehicle carrying Tejashwi Yadav collides with car
A 50-year-old home guard was killed when a police vehicle carrying RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav collided head-on with a car in Bihar’s Purnia district, a senior official said on Monday, February 26.
According to Purnia SP Upendra Nath Verma, six Bihar Military Police (BMP) soldiers traveling in the same police jeep were also injured in the accident late on Monday night.
The Superintendent of Police said, “Former Deputy Chief Minister and opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav was passing through the district to go to Katihar. As per protocol, we sent a vehicle from the police lines to rescue him.” Said.
