BJP, Shinde led Shiv Sena are democratic parties, not Congress: Milind Deora
Former Lok Sabha MP Milind Deora According to PTI report, on Friday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and CM Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena are democratic parties, while Congress is not democratic parties.
Milind Deora, who recently left Congress and joined Shiv Sena, was talking to journalists on the sidelines of the Eknath Shinde-led party’s conference in Kolhapur.
According to PTI, he said, “In my speech, I said that CM Shinde is a living proof of hard work. I am very happy that I joined Shiv Sena, where a common party worker can dream of getting a big post.”
Milind Deora, who is Shiv Sena’s Rajya Sabha candidate from Maharashtra, further said, “Both BJP and Shiv Sena are democratic parties.”
Asked about differences between the Congress and the Sena, he said, “There is a difference in ideology. As far as democracy is concerned, there is a huge difference. Shiv Sena is a democratic party. Congress is not a democratic party. I am happy ” I got a chance to work in a party which is democratic.”
Milind Deora claimed that he had advised the Congress not to be part of the MVA government as it was an “opportunistic alliance for power”.
Deora claimed that Shiv Sena (UBT) and Congress are under immense tension as both the parties are opportunists.

After joining CM Shinde-led Shiv Sena, in a post on social media platform Is.” Congress membership ends my family’s 55-year association with the party. I am grateful to all the leaders, colleagues and workers for their unwavering support over the years.
Deora, who was recently appointed joint treasurer of the All India Congress Committee, had expressed disapproval over the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena’s claim to the South Mumbai Lok Sabha seat.
