Priyanka Gandhi, Dimple Yadav to hold roadshow in Varanasi on Saturday

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav are scheduled to hold a joint roadshow in support of India Block candidate Ajay Rai in Varanasi on Saturday.

According to PTI, Congress spokesperson Shailendra Singh said the road show will start from the Durgakund temple and conclude after prayers at the Ravidas temple.

During the road show, Priyanka Gandhi and Dimple Yadav will also garland the statue of Madan Mohan Malviya at the main gate of Kashi Hindu University. This program will start at 4 pm.

Varanasi District Congress leader Raghavendra Choubey said that after arriving from Babatpur airport, Priyanka Gandhi and Dimple Yadav can visit Baba Shri Kashi Vishwanath before the road show.

The maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 41.7 degrees Celsius, the mercury is likely to reach 44 degrees Celsius on Saturday

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) confirmed that the national capital recorded a temperature of 41.7 degrees Celsius on Friday, slightly above normal for this season.

According to PTI, the IMD has issued a ‘yellow’ alert for Saturday, with the maximum temperature expected to reach 44 degrees Celsius and the minimum 31 degrees Celsius. However, there is no forecast of heatwave.

The weather department uses a four-level colour-coded warning system: green (no action required), yellow (stay updated), orange (be prepared), and red (take immediate action). On Friday, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 30.8 degrees Celsius, four degrees above the seasonal norm, and the relative humidity ranged between 42 per cent and 60 per cent throughout the day.

On Saturday, the sky is expected to be clear and winds are expected to blow at a speed of 25 to 35 kilometres per hour during the day. Moreover, nights may be warm in remote areas.
