China congratulates PM Modi on election win, says “ready to work”

Beijing:

China on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his electoral victory and said it is ready to work with its neighbour.

“China is ready to work with India to promote the healthy and stable development of relations between the two countries, keeping in mind the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples, keeping the big picture and the future in mind,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a regular press conference.
