Home Ministry extends ban on Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir for five years
Union Home Ministry extended the ban on Tuesday Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir Five years later, Home Minister Amit Shah said the religious-socio-political party was found “continuing its activities against the security, integrity, sovereignty of the country”.
“Chasing the PM @Narendra Modi In line with JI’s policy of zero tolerance against terrorism and separatism, the government has extended the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami, Jammu and Kashmir for five years,” Shah said on X.
“The organization has been found to be continuing its activities against the security, integrity and sovereignty of the nation. The organization was first declared an ‘unlawful association’ on 28 February 2019. “Anyone who threatens the security of the country will face brutal action,” he said.
