India is the third largest startup ecosystem: Union Minister Anurag Thakur

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur on Monday said that with over one lakh startups, India has strengthened its position as the third largest startup nation. The minister also said that more than one lakh government jobs were given in ’employment fairs’ across India.

Speaking at a job fair in Jalandhar, Punjab, Thakur emphasized that PM Modi Fulfilling its promise of providing 10 lakh jobs in a year, he said job fairs were organized at 47 different places across the country.

Thakur further informed that apart from this achievement, a total of loans worth Rs 34 crore were disbursed under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), is providing employment opportunities to crores of people. Similarly, 78 lakh street vendors benefited from the loans provided under the PM Swanidhi scheme, news agency ANI reported.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed appointment letters to the new appointees through video conferencing on Monday.

Addressing the program through video conferencing Prime Minister congratulated The youth and their families said, “Today more than 1 lakh youth have received appointment letters for government jobs. You have achieved this success through hard work.”

Taking aim at the previous government over the delay in jobs, PM Modi said, “The right to give jobs to the youth is continuously progressing at a fast pace in the Government of India.” In earlier governments, it used to take a very long time.” From issuing job advertisements to issuing appointment letters. The Prime Minister praised the Central Government for making the recruitment process transparent. He said, “Not only this, the government is also emphasizing that the recruitment process should be completed within the stipulated time. PM Modi had launched the ‘Rozgar Mela’ campaign, launching the initiative to provide 10 lakh government jobs on October 22, 2022.
