Police confirmed that they executed “two European arrest warrants issued by UK judicial authorities for sexual offenses and exploitation within the UK”.

Controversial influencer Andrew Tate and his brother have been arrested in Romania on UK sex crime charges, police said on Tuesday.

Police said in a statement that it executed “two European arrest warrants issued by UK judicial authorities for the commission of sexual offences, exploitation of persons on UK territory”.

A Tet spokesperson said in a statement that the pair had been detained. The brothers are awaiting trial in Romania on separate charges of human trafficking, rape and forming a criminal group to sexually exploit women.
