PM Modi UAE Qatar visit update Narendra Modi inaugurates BAPS’s first Hindu temple Abu Dhabi
Ahead of his seventh visit to the UAE and second to Qatar since 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said his visits to the countries will help deepen India’s strategic ties with them. PM Modi issued a statement ahead of his two-day visit to UAE on February 13-14, which will be followed by a two-day visit to Qatar on February 14 and 15.
In the next two days, I will visit UAE and Qatar to participate in various programs which will further deepen India’s bilateral relations with these countries.

He said India’s cooperation with the UAE in various sectors such as defence, investment, security, trade, food, energy security and education has grown significantly over the last nine years. He also highlighted how India-UAE culture and people-to-people ties are stronger than ever.
PM Modi said he was looking forward to meeting UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nayan in Abu Dhabi. He recalled that he hosted the President of UAE in Gujarat during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024. PM Modi is ready to engage in wide-ranging discussions on taking forward the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
Prime Minister Modi will address the gathering of world leaders at the World Government Summit in Dubai on 14 February 2024 at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Defense Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The discussions between PM Modi and UAE PM His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid will aim to strengthen India’s multifaceted relations with Dubai.
During his UAE visit, PM Modi will inaugurate the first Hindu temple, BAPS Temple in Abu Dhabi. The BAPS Temple is a tribute to the values of peace, tolerance and harmony shared by India and the UAE. PM Modi will also address the Indian expatriates in the emirate of UAE at the ‘Alhan Modi’ event.
Regarding his visit to Qatar, PM Modi said that he looks forward to meeting His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and other high dignitaries.
India and Qatar have a long history of close and cordial relations. In recent years, multidimensional relations between the countries have deepened in various areas such as high-level political dialogue, expanding trade and investment cooperation, promoting energy cooperation, and promoting cultural and educational exchanges.
PM Modi said that the presence of 8,00,000 Indian community living in Doha proves how strong the relations are between the people of the two countries.
