PM Modi virtually inaugurates over 2,000 rail infra projects worth Rs 41,000 crore
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated, laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation more than 2000 railway infrastructure projects worth about Rs 41,000 crore.
According to news agency ANI, while addressing the program, PM Modi described it as a symbol of the work culture of ‘New India’.
“Today’s event symbolizes the work ethic of the new India. Now, India is working at unprecedented speed on an unprecedented scale. Moving away from small aspirations, today’s India is moving towards dreaming big and making those dreams come true. Has gone.” As soon as possible,” the Prime Minister said, ANI reported.
He expressed confidence of returning in the third term of the government.
“Today, the foundation stone of more than two thousand projects related to railways has been laid and inaugurated. Now the third term of this government is going to start in June. The scale and speed with which the work has started is surprising everyone. ” He said, ANI reported.

The third term of his government will begin from June, but the scale and speech with which it is working has surprised people, PM Modi said in his video address, noting the recent launch of several development projects. Giving, according to PTI report.
People have seen a new India being built in the last 10 years, PTI reported, highlighting changes in the railways, including the introduction of Vande Bharat trains, cleaning of tracks and emphasis on electrification.
Taking a dig at previous governments, PM Modi said his government stopped looting of public funds and every penny earned was used in expanding railway services.
According to PTI report, he said that Indian Railways used to be a victim of politics earlier, but now it is the mainstay of ease of travel, adding that it is also a big source of employment.
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for redevelopment of 553 railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
According to a government release, these stations spread across 27 states and union territories will be redeveloped at a cost of over Rs 19,000 crore. These stations will act as ‘city centres’, integrating both sides of the city.
Speaking on the occasion, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw thanked the Prime Minister for the projects while vowing to transform the industry.
Additionally, PM Modi inaugurated Gomti Nagar station in Uttar Pradesh, which has been redeveloped at a total cost of around Rs 385 crore.
To cater to the increasing number of passengers in future, arrival and departure facilities have been separated at this station. It integrates both sides of the city. This centrally air-conditioned station has modern passenger amenities such as air concourses, congestion-free circulation, food courts and ample parking space in upper and lower basements, a government release said.
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone, inaugurated and dedicated to the nation 1500 road bridges and underpasses.
These road overbridges and underpasses are spread across 24 states and union territories, the total cost of these projects is approximately Rs 21,520 crore. These projects will reduce congestion, enhance safety and connectivity, and improve capacity and efficiency of rail travel.
