PM Modi will visit Yavatmal, launch development projects in public program

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Maharashtra’s Yavatmal district on Wednesday and inaugurate and dedicate various development projects to the nation during a public event, officials said, news agency PTI reported.

District officials said the event will be held at Bhari on the outskirts of Yavatmal town at around 4.30 pm, PTI reported.

PM Modi will visit Yavatmal: PM Kisan and other schemes

A release issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) said the prime minister will release benefits under PM Kisan and other schemes during the event, PTI reported.

He will also inaugurate the statue of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay in Yavatmal city.

PM Modi will release the 16th installment of over Rs 21,000 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) through direct benefit transfer to beneficiaries, PTI reported.

With this release, an amount of more than Rs 3 lakh crore will be transferred to more than 11 crore farmer families.

The Prime Minister will also distribute the second and third installments of ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi’ worth about Rs 3,800 crore and benefiting about 88 lakh farmers across Maharashtra.

PM Modi will go to Yavatmal: Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana

The scheme provides an additional amount of Rs 6,000 per year to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in Maharashtra, the release said.

Prime Minister Modi will also distribute Rs 825 crore of Revolving Fund (RF) to 5.5 lakh women self-help groups (SHGs) across Maharashtra.

This amount is in addition to the RF provided by the Central Government under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM).

The release said the revolving fund is given to SHGs to promote money lending on a rotational basis within the SHGs and to increase the annual income of poor households by promoting women-led micro enterprises at the village level.

The Prime Minister will also launch the distribution of one crore Ayushman cards across Maharashtra. It said this is another step towards reaching out to the beneficiaries of welfare schemes to realize the Prime Minister’s vision of 100 per cent saturation of all government schemes.

He will launch Modi Awas Gharkul Yojana for OBC category beneficiaries in Maharashtra.

This scheme envisages construction of a total of 10 lakh houses from financial year 2023-24 to financial year 2025-26. The release said the PM will transfer the first installment of Rs 375 crore to 2.5 lakh beneficiaries of the scheme.

He will dedicate to the nation several irrigation projects benefiting the Marathwada and Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. It said these projects have been developed under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) and Baliraja Jal Sanjeevani Yojana (BJSY) at a cumulative cost of more than Rs 2,750 crore.

PM Modi will also inaugurate several rail projects worth over Rs 1,300 crore in Maharashtra, PTI reported.

These include the Wardha-Kalamb broad gauge line (part of the Wardha-Yavatmal-Nanded new broad gauge line project) and the new Ashti-Amalner broad gauge line (part of the Ahmednagar-Beed-Parli new broad gauge line project).

PM Modi will go to Yavatmal: two train services

The new broad gauge lines will improve the connectivity of Vidarbha and Marathwada regions and boost socio-economic development.

During the program, the PM will also virtually flag off two train services. These include train services connecting Kalamb and Wardha and train services connecting Amalner and New Ashti. The release said that this new train service will help in improving rail connectivity and will benefit students, businessmen and daily commuters of the region.

According to PTI report, PM Modi will also dedicate to the nation several projects to strengthen the road sector in Maharashtra.

The projects include four-laning of Warora-Wani section of NH-930, road upgradation projects for important roads connecting Sakoli-Bhandara and Salaikhurd-Tirora. These projects will improve connectivity, reduce travel time and boost socio-economic development in the region.

Maharashtra ministers Girish Mahajan and Sanjay Rathod took stock of the preparations for PM Modi’s program on Tuesday. According to PTI report, Mahajan gave instructions to the officials regarding security and other aspects.

According to PTI report, local BJP MLA Madan Yeravar expressed happiness over the PM’s scheduled visit, saying Modi had visited Yavatmal before the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which had benefited the party a lot at that time.
