The DDA said the demolition drive was carried out on land that was “part of the planned development land”. Police said several illegally constructed structures were demolished during the operation.

“On February 28, a demolition drive was carried out by DDA to remove encroachments from its acquired land in Khajuri Khas village. This land was part of planned development land,” the DDA said in a statement. ,

Earlier in the day, Hasan had shared a video of the area, claiming that the building where he and his family were staying had been “demolished in the drive”. In the video clip, Hasan also claimed that he had to go to the police station in connection with this incident.
