Furthermore, what little research has been done on sexual harassment has barely been documented, leading to an emerging problem that creates an unfair work environment for individuals. According to previous statistics, the level of sexual harassment in the working society is as high as 16% among men and 25% among women. In the workplace, sexual harassment not only occurs from superiors or other peers who have influence over an individual’s employment status, but it also originates from those to whom goods or services are provided, such as business customers (Fitzgerald, 1993). The research will attempt to answer three main questions, namely:

  • How has sexual harassment at work become a problem?
  • What are the possible measures to prevent sexual harassment at workplace?
  • What policies have been put in place to deal with sexual harassment in the workplace?

To answer the research questions, the research will first use interaction analysis. The sampling frame will include any person under employment, whether casual, temporary or permanent, for the last five years. To make the research credible, the scope should include people from different careers, income and education levels. Systematic sampling will be used to obtain the required sample. The selected individuals will be presented with a questionnaire the results of which will be presented and analyzed.
