Russia “frugals off imaginary enemy air strikes” amid NATO drills, conducts naval drills with China, Iran

Iran, Russia and China began joint naval exercises in the Gulf of Oman on 12 March. The tri-nation exercise, dubbed “Maritime Security Belt 2024”, focused on safeguarding maritime economic activity. As part of the drill, the Chinese fleet arrived in waters near the southeastern Iranian port city of Chabahar on March 11. The Chinese Defense Ministry said the drill is beneficial to strengthening relations and cooperation between the naval forces of the three countries. Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani said, “The exercises are conducted in line with a show of force.” Watch the video to find out more.
