Russian Il-76 military cargo plane with 15 people on board crashes during take-off

Russia said Tuesday that a military cargo plane with 15 people on board crashed while taking off from an airfield northeast of Moscow on a scheduled flight.

“An Il-76 military transport aviation aircraft crashed in the Ivanovo region while taking off on a scheduled flight. There were eight crew members and seven passengers on board,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
