Russian IL-76 military plane crashes amid drone attacks and militia infiltration in Ukraine, 15 people on board

On March 12, a Russian military cargo plane with 15 people on board crashed while taking off from an airfield for a scheduled flight. Footage circulated on social media showed an IL-76 plane descending towards the ground with one of its engines on fire. In other footage, a plume of black smoke is seen rising from the accident site. The Russian Defense Ministry said an engine fire during takeoff was the probable cause of the crash.
