Last week, Tendulkar had said that he was happy with the quality of the Kashmir willow bat. Tendulkar and his family visited a cricket bat manufacturing unit in Sangam in south Kashmir on Saturday and were pleasantly surprised by the people there, newswire PTI reported.

Tendulkar, along with wife Anjali and daughter Sara, stayed at a unit in Charsu on the Srinagar-Jammu highway and interacted with the workers. “We were busy making bats when a vehicle stopped at our gate. We were pleasantly surprised to see the Little Master and his family,” Mohammed Shaheen Parre, owner of MJ Sports, told PTI over phone.

Paire said that Tendulkar checked the quality of the bats made from Kashmir willow. “He took a swing at some of the bats and was quite pleased with their quality.
