School student dies after falling from 22nd floor of high building
A Class 7 student died after allegedly falling from the 22nd floor of a residential high-rise building near here on Wednesday, with police suspecting it to be a case of suicide, news wire PTI reported.
A police spokesman said incident occurred At around 5.30 pm in Supertech Eco Village 3 Group Housing Society of Bisrakh. “The boy died on the spot after falling from the 22nd floor of a residential tower of the society. Further legal proceedings in the case are underway,” a police spokesperson said.
The 14-year-old boy, whose parents are music teachers, recently appeared for his annual examination for Class 7 and the results are expected on Thursday, PTI quoted an official source as saying.

In a similar case, on February 22, a Class 12 student at nearby Mahagun Maywoods Society died after allegedly jumping from the 22nd floor of his building, within hours of appearing for his board exams, according to police . Although the exact reason for the extreme step is not known, police said the student was unable to clear the exam last year as well, PTI reported.
The age of the deceased student was about 19 years.

In Uttar Pradesh, police have often been appealing to people, including school and college students, to dial the emergency number 112 for help in case of suicidal thoughts.
Mental health experts believe that suicide can be prevented if an early observer such as a parent, sibling, spouse, or friend recognizes changes in a person’s behavior and talks to them so that they do not doubt their self-esteem. Don’t let it happen.
