Strict instructions given to ensure transparency in counting process: Chief Election Commissioner

“Today is the day of counting. Two-and-a-half months of preparations will come to an end today,” Kumar told PTI video in New Delhi.

He said that strict instructions have been given to all Chief Electoral Officers, District Magistrates, Observers and Superintendents of Police to ensure transparency in the counting process as per rules.

Kumar said strict instructions have been issued to involve candidates and their counting agents in the entire process.

Instructions have also been given to monitor the entire process through CCTV cameras round the clock.
