Tejashwi Yadav joins Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Sasaram, Bihar

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav joined Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Sasaram, Bihar on Friday. The yatra has reached its final leg in Bihar and is scheduled to enter Uttar Pradesh later today, news agency ANI reported.

As the yatra passed through Sasaram, Yadav was seen carrying Rahul Gandhi and other leaders in the lead jeep.

According to ANI report, Yadav will also share the stage with Rahul Gandhi during a public meeting at Dhanecha in Durgavati block of Kaimur.

This will be the first time that the RJD leader will be seen sharing the stage with Gandhi in Bihar as state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has severed his ties with the India Bloc.

”Today is the 34th day of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and Rahul Gandhi will interact with farmer leaders in Rohtas today… Today at around 2:30 pm, Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi will address a meeting in Kaimur and at around 5 pm , The yatra will enter Uttar Pradesh…” senior party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh said, ANI reported.

Later in the day, at 4 pm, the yatra will move to Chandauli in UP. According to ANI report, it will remain in UP till the evening of February 25 with a break of two days on February 22 and 23.

Earlier on Thursday, the yatra reached Aurangabad in Bihar, where Gandhi praised the Supreme Court on its decision to cancel electoral bonds and promised to conduct a financial survey across the country if voted to power in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra arrived in Bihar days after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who was at the forefront of the Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance, an alliance of opposition parties formed to take on the BJP at the Centre, quit the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance). And again joined hands with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance, ANI reported.

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will also join the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi as soon as she enters Uttar Pradesh on Friday evening. According to ANI report, she will join her brother in Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh after Yatra enters the state from Bihar.

The East-West Manipur-Mumbai Yatra covers a distance of 6,700 kilometers through 15 states and aims to highlight the message of “Nyaya” (justice) while meeting common people along the way.
