Telangana student dies in jet ski accident in America

Venkatraman Pittala, a 27-year-old student from Telangana, died in a jet ski collision in the US state of Florida. He was pursuing a master’s degree from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).

According to a GoFundMe page created to raise funds to send his body back to his family in Telangana, the incident occurred on March 9, just months before his graduation in May.

“A collision between two jet skis resulted in his untimely death,” it said.

A report based in Miami WPLG Local 10 The news channel said the accident occurred near a waterpark in the island city of Key West.

The report, citing the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, said a 14-year-old boy was driving the jet ski.

The commission did not mention any arrests, saying only that the boy was not injured in the accident.
