Today there will be a meeting of Indian block leaders at Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has said that the leaders of the Indian National Development Inclusive Alliance (INA) alliance will meet in New Delhi this evening to review the results of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 and future strategy.

“Bharatiya Jana Bandhan leaders will meet today at 6 pm at 10, Rajaji Marg to discuss the election results and future strategy,” Kharge told the exclusive channel.

As per reports in ANI, the counting of votes for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 took place on Tuesday.

According to Election Commission of India data on Lok Sabha Election Results 2024, the BJP won 240 seats, down from 303 in 2019. The Congress improved its performance by winning 99 members.

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won 292 seats while the Join India Alliance won 230 seats, indicating tough competition and defying expectations, news agency ANI reported.

According to ANI report, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has won a third term but he will need the support of other alliance parties, especially JD(U) president Nitish Kumar and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.

The India Group hopes to persuade some of the BJP’s partners to tip the balance in its favour.

On Tuesday, the Congress president said the party will begin talks with its friends and potential new allies, news agency ANI reported.

“While we talk to our alliance partners and the new allies who are going to form an alliance with them, we will also talk to them and see how we can form a majority. If I talk about all the strategies here, Modiji will get clever,” the Congress president said at a press conference after the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 results were announced.

In his address after the Lok Sabha Election Results 2024, he said, “I thank my Bharat Block colleagues. Everyone campaigned and worked for each other. Our fight has not reached its conclusion, we have to keep fighting for the rights of the people, protection of the Constitution and democracy, development of the country and security on the border.”
