Travel platform Expedia to cut 1,500 jobs in latest restructuring

Online travel platform Expedia said Monday it is cutting about 1,500 jobs as part of its latest restructuring.

As of December 31, 2023, the company had 17,100 employees in more than 50 countries.

Expedia said total pre-tax charges and cash expenditures associated with the restructuring actions are expected to be between $80 million and $100 million.

There was a slight rise in the company’s shares in aftermarket trading.
