Tulsi Gabbard is in talks with Donald Trump for 2024 ticket
Tulsi Gabbard, the first Hindu-American and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, has once again created a stir.
She is reportedly discussing the country’s foreign policy with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his advisors.
Media reports suggest that she is keeping her options open to be Trump’s running mate in the 2024 presidential race.
Gabbard announced her exit from the Democratic Party in 2022, calling the party an “elitist group of warmongers” driven by a “cowardly awakening.”
When Gabbard left the Democratic Party, she asked others to join her.
Tulsi Gabbard did not like the Democratic Party’s views on religion, police, and citizen safety. Gabbard’s resignation comes ahead of the crucial midterm elections in November 2024. He criticized President Joe Biden’s foreign policy, blaming Russia’s invasion of Ukraine for his failures. Gabbard believes that the US government should serve the people, not just powerful groups.
Now, as the political stage appears to be set for a possible rematch between former President Trump and current President Joe Biden in 2024, discussions between Gabbard and Donald Trump have focused on the potential management of the Defense Department in a hypothetical second Trump term , as told to The Washington Post.
Tulsi Gabbard was in the US Army and served in Iraq with the Hawaii Army National Guard before becoming a member of the US Congress. She has been loudly saying that she does not like when America gets involved in the business of other countries. She thinks Biden’s foreign policy mistakes led Russia to invade Ukraine.
“She appeals to Republicans who are skeptical of interference abroad, who are now the majority of Republican voters,” GOP strategist Andrew Surabian told Newsweek.
Gabbard recently told Fox News that she might work with Trump for the 2024 election.
“I’m ready to have that conversation. My mission in life is to serve my country and serve the American people and find the best way to be able to do that, Gabbard said.
Apart from her politics, Gabbard has made a deal with Elon Musk to host a show on the X platform. The show will be about supporting freedom of expression and giving voice to those who have been silenced.
As Trump looks to secure the crucial GOP nomination for the 2024 presidential election, speculation has begun to rise about his choice for vice president. Some candidates, such as Vivek Ramaswamy and Ron DeSantis, are supporting Donald Trump for the Oval Office, in hopes of becoming his potential running mate.
Meanwhile, Nikki Haley remains the only contender against Trump in the race for the US presidential election to be held in November 2024.
