Police have launched a search for three people who allegedly threw a corrosive substance at two boys at a London Metro rail station. British Transport Police (BTP) shared photographs of three people and said they wanted to speak to them following the incident at Elm Park tube station on Saturday.
The boys required treatment and the injuries are not considered life-threatening or life-changing.
Four acid attacks were reported last month alone. In Clapham, an Afghan asylum seeker targeted a mother and two children using chemicals.
CCTV images released by the BTP showed two men, one of whom was seen wearing a black puffer jacket, as well as a black face covering and a black baseball cap, and the other was seen wearing a black coat.
There was also a picture of a woman with him. He was wearing a cream jacket, blue jeans and Converse trainers, and was also holding a green coat.
Police officer Marvin Bruno was quoted as saying, “Violence in any form will not be tolerated on the rail network and we would like to reassure the traveling public that our officers are working tirelessly to identify and apprehend those responsible.” Are.” daily Mail,
This is the latest in a number of acid attacks reported in recent weeks. Four acid attacks have been reported in the south of England since late January.
The most dangerous of these attacks was the Clapham case where a mother and her two children were doused in a corrosive substance. Police said the mother’s injuries are life-altering and she remains hospitalized.
A nationwide manhunt was launched to capture suspected Afghan asylum seeker Abdul Ezedi. Ezedi was later found dead in the River Thames.
The Clapham incident was followed by three attacks in the space of two days. A 52-year-old woman suffered burns to her back and head after a corrosive substance was thrown at her in a pub in Basingstoke. The following day a man was attacked with a ‘noxious substance’ in St Lawrence Cemetery in Ramsgate, Kent.
Police were involved in a three-hour encounter with an alleged ‘acid attacker’ on the same day. An alleged ‘acid attacker’ took over a London bus and threatened the driver and passengers with an unknown substance.
