X user says Donald Trump should return to the platform, Elon Musk agrees
Tesla and SpaceX chief Elon Musk reinstated former United States President Donald Trump’s Twitter account, now X, in November 2022 after he bought the microblogging platform for $43 billion. Mr Trump’s account was restored almost two years after it was banned following the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. However, the former President is not active on the platform and keeps his supporters updated with his social media network- Truth Social.
Recently, a user on The post caught the attention of the billionaire who replied to the post and said, “Yes.”
Since being shared, Mr Musk’s post attracted the attention of many users who had mixed reactions to it.
One user said, “I don’t think he can do it. He has billions of dollars invested with Truth Social.”
Another user commented, “I hope you talked to him about this, @elonmusk!”
“It’s time for them to come back,” one person said.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk restored Donald Trump’s Twitter account after the decision was put in a poll on the micro-blogging website. “The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated,” Mr Musk posted on his account shortly after 24 hours of voting ended. More than 15 million people out of 237 million daily users voted in the poll. While 51.8 percent voted in favor of restoring Mr. Trump’s account, 48.2 percent voted against it.
When Donald Trump’s account was suspended, he had more than 88 million users. Previously, he had said that he would not be returning to the popular platform but would instead remain on Truth Social, which was launched after he was banned on Twitter.
Appearing via video at a gathering of the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas, Mr Trump said he welcomed Mr Musk’s survey, and was a fan of the man himself, but appeared to have ignored any Return is declined. “I like her… you know, she’s a character and again, I like characters,” she said, adding, “They put out a poll and it was pretty overwhelming… but I had some names. Is…truth social.”
When asked if he would return to the stage, he said, ‘I don’t think so because I don’t see any reason for it.’
