Indian citizen arrested at Nepal airport for carrying one kg of raw gold

An Indian national was arrested at Nepal’s international airport on Thursday for allegedly possessing about one kilogram of hidden raw gold, officials said.

According to airport officials, the accused identified as Mohammed Jason was arrested and around one kilogram of raw gold was recovered from his possession during security checking.

He told that the person who came here from Doha was hiding semi-liquid gold under his pants.

The police have taken him into custody and started further investigation.
