Mangal meeting of Maratha members held to decide candidates

According to PTI, Manoj Jarange had recently made this appeal during a meeting held in his native village Antarwali Sarti in Jalna district of Maharashtra.

Following his appeal, members of the Maratha community met at the Maratha temple in HUDCO area of ​​Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city around 11 am. However, while the meeting was going on, a fight broke out between some of the coordinators. The news agency reported on Friday that a video of the incident also went viral.

According to PTI report, a member later told reporters, “We came here to hold talks. A list of probable candidates for the Lok Sabha elections was to be finalized and it was to be sent to Manoj Jarange. A person from the Maratha community present at the meeting said, “We have been together since the first silent protest march was taken out (in 2016) under the banner of Maratha Kranti Morcha. But now they are asking us who we are. He used abusive language and that led to a fight,” according to PTI.

When contacted, a senior officer of CIDCO police station said that the situation is now under control and a police team is at the spot.

“The fight took place between two persons and if a complaint is filed in this regard, we will initiate action,” the news agency reported on Friday.
