Forest fire reached Nainital’s High Court Colony; the army was called

On Friday, April 26, the fire in the forests of Uttarakhand became more severe, the flames reached the High Court Colony of Nainital.

Rudraprayag Divisional Forest Officer Abhimanyu said three people have been arrested and sent to jail for setting forest fire in two different areas of Jakholi and Rudraprayag.

In the last 24 hours, 31 new incidents of forest fire were reported from different parts of the state, destroying 33.34 hectares of forest land.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has asked officials to remain on alert and take measures to stop the fire by coordinating with all departments.

The forest fire near Nainital district headquarters took a severe form, due to which the residents of High Court Colony located in the Pines area are in danger. This also affected the traffic system in the area.

Along with forest department employees, army personnel are also trying to control the fire. Authorities can deploy helicopters to extinguish it.
