Highest unemployment rate in Modi government: Priyanka Gandhi

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday targeted the Narendra Modi government over jobs and inflation, saying that the unemployment rate is the highest in the country.

Addressing a campaign rally for the Congress candidate in Udgir in Maharashtra’s Latur district, he said there are 30 lakh vacant posts in the central government which have not been filled in the last ten years.

Gandhi said, “In the last ten years (people’s) difficulties and unemployment have increased. 70 crore people, youth are unemployed.”

The AICC general secretary also said that GST (Goods and Services Tax) has been imposed on every farm equipment and promised to abolish it once Congress comes to power.
