ICJ orders Israel to take action over aid crisis in Gaza; Palestinian Authority announces new cabinet

The International Court of Justice on Thursday issued additional measures, revising and strengthening its January order that Israel do more to prevent civilian deaths in Gaza.

In their new order, the judges called on Israel to “take all necessary and effective measures” to ensure the provision of basic services and humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in the enclave. Earlier on Thursday, the Palestinian Authority named a new cabinet on Thursday, amid unrest in the West Bank and international pressure for reform.
