Rekha and Sangeeta’s husbands, Dilip Patel and Bhavnesh Patel respectively, are brothers, establishing a familial bond between the two families. Manisha’s husband Rajendra is a cousin of both the brothers. Apart from Sangeeta’s father Vitthalbhai, who lives near Kavita village, all other family members of the three women and their husbands had migrated to America long ago.

Vitthalbhai Patel said, “I have come to know that my daughter and two other women have died in a road accident in America on Friday. The fourth woman, who is also my relative, has been admitted to a hospital there. They were going out for a walk.” Correspondent in Anand.

He said that Sangeeta never returned to India after going there about 20 years ago. Vitthalbhai said, his son had come here a few months ago for shopping related to his wedding.

According to the Chief Deputy, the vehicle carrying three women left the road on the right shoulder, climbed the embankment, pierced the embankment of the cement bridge, and went over all four lanes of traffic. It then hit some trees on the opposite side of the road and went down an embankment.

Niranjan Patel, a resident of Vasna (Borsad), said a prayer meeting was organized in his village to condole the death of three women. He shared that Rekhaben and Sangeetaben lived in Atlanta, Georgia with their husbands and were visiting South Carolina at the time of the accident.

The villagers expressed deep sorrow and solidarity during the prayer meeting, reflecting the grief of a united community over the devastating incident.

According to Ellis, the car was found in pieces and no other vehicles were involved in the accident. He said the vehicle had alerted some family members of the victims that it had been involved in an accident, who were headed to the area by Friday afternoon, local television channel WYFF reported.
