UP: 16 year old girl kidnapped, raped for months; one was held

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped near her house in a village in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. Police Said on Sunday, PTI reported.

According to the police, the girl was abducted by Vishesh Tiwari alias Raja, a native of a village under Sahatwar police station, on February 7, PTI reported.

According to PTI, a case was registered against Tiwari under IPC sections 363 (kidnapping) and 366 (kidnapping, abducting or compelling someone to marry) on the complaint of the girl’s mother.

Superintendent of Police Dev Ranjan Verma said that the police arrested Tiwari near his house on Sunday and the girl was rescued.

SP said that the girl said in her testimony that Tiwari raped her for about two and a half months.

Based on the statement, police also added IPC section 376 (rape) and POCSO Act in the case, the news agency reported on Sunday.

Man arrested for raping minor girl in Navi Mumba

Meanwhile, in another incident, Navi Mumbai Police in Maharashtra A man was arrested for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl who lived in his neighborhood in Navi Mumbai township on Sunday, an official said, PTI reported.

An official said on Sunday that the 40-year-old accused and the victim were residents of the same building in Ulwe area.

According to PTI, on Saturday evening the victim had gone to the accused’s house to play. NRI Sagari police station official said the accused allegedly raped her.

According to PTI, police said the accused had previously sexually assaulted the girl, showed her obscene pictures and asked her not to tell anyone about it.

After the crime on Saturday, the girl informed her mother about it. The victim’s parents lodged a police complaint following which the accused was arrested, the officer said.

The accused has been booked under Indian Penal Code sections 376 (rape), 376(2)(j)(n) (rape on a female under 12 years of age or incapable of giving consent), 376AB (rape on a female under 12 years of age). A case was registered under IPC (rape). years of age) and 506 (criminal intimidation) and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, the police said.
